The University of Extremadura celebrates the feast day of Saint Thomas Aquinas. The solemn ceremony, held at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Badajoz in January 2008, featured the lecture "The Welfare State and the Dependency Law," delivered by Rafael Calvo Ortega, jurist and former Minister of Labor of Spain during the UCD government.
